I’m Diana Treptau. As I, my family, and friends age, I want to understand the changes going on in our bodies, what we can do to slow aging down, live life to the fullest, and give more than we receive. That’s partly how Ur Body Healer came to be; the other truth regarding our journey was I was working on branding for another startup (Ur Massage Therapist) and discovered that most of the social media handles had been taken. Voila: Ur Body Healer as a lifestyle brand where I could bring together all the resources, content, products, and services that I end up loving, that assist me and my family with living holistically and aging gracefully.
My grandmother used to say that this would be the dark age for medicine because there are and would be so many conflicting resources. She wasn’t wrong. My goal is to try to make sense of it all, exam and create simple formulas to use, and I promise that whatever practices or products I suggest I have tested them out and/or use them personally (as needed).
I am committed to improving 1% each day. Do you want to join me?
SIX PILLARS FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS
These pillars encompass the most important aspects of life and when each of these pillars are built and maintained they lead to a rejuvenated, peaceful, and happy life.
In calming, harnessing, and channeling our mind, we are able to accomplish anything we want. Using various tools like self reflection, education, hobbies, mental therapies, and being in nature can help keep our minds young and sharp.
Our DNA, blood types, and physique can alter the needs we each have in taking care of our bodies, but the basics are proper nutrition, fasting, hydration, building and keeping muscle tone, and using physical therapies as needed.
Besides consistency, the next predicter of a long life (according to research) is having a vibrant community surrounding us throughout our life. Taking care of yourself first allows you to then give back and build or keep rebuilding a community that you want to be a part of.
Our spirit is the nontangible soul that encompass our temperament, spiritual strengths and weaknesses. Since it is one with us, the state of our spirit can affect the emotions and health of our body.
There is an insatiable, human need to find purpose. Some may be blessed with strong leadership traits in defining a purpose (vision) while others find purpose in the work they do (bringing a vision to life). Our purpose or lack thereof has consequences (good or bad); let’s figure it out together.
It seems strange to put finances as a pillar, but if our finances are not healthy, it can rip our family apart, cause early aging through stress, and limit or negate the help we can provide to family and friends.
